General Information
Tawse Winery is a recent addition to the Niagara landscape, opening in 2005; its wines have been in production since 2001. They use a combination of traditional artisanal techniques and state-of-the-art technology. Geo-thermal energy is used to create small batches of wines.
The winery uses many old-growth and low-yield vines, and prides itself on its selection of cool climate French varieties. All of their wines are aged for at least two years before being released.
Barrel tasting and winery tours can be arranged for small groups of enthusiasts for a small fee, but you must call ahead.
