General Information

At Ninavik Native Arts, Canadian Native art is their passion. Through years of working with native groups across Canada they have developed a broad and exciting collection. It ranges from sculptural works, through fabrics, prints, pottery, paintings, masks and much more.

Ninavik is one of Canada's premiere native art galleries, and strives to brings together knowledgeable collectors, and many very talented and creative artists.

QEW exit 57, Vineland (Victoria Avenue) South on Victoria Avenue towards Niagara Escarpment, away from lake, to stoplight at Regional Road 81/King Street Left (east) on Regional Road 81/King Street through the valley Left (north) on Main Street at the Jordan House, at top of hill Or QEW exit 55, Jordan (Jordan Road) South on Jordan Road towards Niagara Escarpment, away from lake Right (west) on Fourth Avenue Left on Ninteenth Street First Right on Wismer Street Left on Main Street Parking lots are available at both the north and south ends of the street and it is only a short 3 minute stroll between lots. Ninavik is located at 3845 Main Street, on the main floor of the "Inn on the Twenty", across the street from Inn on the Twenty Restaurant and "The Canada Store".

Cultural

Their thirty years of sales of Canadian Native art have helped to continue and promote a positive economic base for many native people who are living off the land. Their carvings and prints provide necessary funds for communities where few other employment opportunities exist.

Historical

Dirk and Wilma Vermeulen, Carla's parents, are the originators of Ninavik and have a deep interest in promoting Canadian indigenous art and artists. For many years they worked with indigenous peoples in native language education, as well as indigenous art and culture.
