General Information

Megalomaniac is a winery located in Vineland, situated at the top of the Niagara Escarpment, with a breathtaking view. Megalomaniac received its unique name following a conversation between founder John Howard and his friends. Howard pitched his idea of naming the wines after himself. His friends responded by calling Howard a megalomaniac- a term that stuck.

At Megalomaniac, they are proud to produce wines that are a unique reflection of Niagara's distinctive terroir. With 110 acres of vineyards, Megalomaniac produces a variety VQA certified table wines and Icewine. Winemaker Sue Ann Staff alongside her wine making team use leading edge equipment including oak barrels imported from France. With quirky names for each vintage, such as "Bigmouth Merlot" and "Cold Hearted Riesling Icewine", they do not fail to impress.

Megalomaniac's retail store and is open for tastings year round, however hours are limited from November - May. It would be best to call or check the website's hours beforehand at these times. Tours are also available with prior booking arrangements.

May 1st - November 1st: 11-6pm, daily

November 1st - April 1st: Friday - Sunday, 11-5pm

From Toronto:

Take Gardiner Expressway, W and merge onto QEW/ON-403 W

Continue on QEW, following signs for Niagara/East Hamilton/Fort Erie

Take exit 64 (Ontario St)

Take first right onto Ontario St / Regional Rd 18

Continue for 2.5km and make a left onto King St.

Travel for 5.3km and turn right on Cherry St.

Destination will be on the right

From Niagara:

Take ON- 420 W

Follow signs for QEW/Hamilton/Toronto and merge onto QEW

Take exit 57 (Victoria Ave)

Make first left onto North Service Rd

Turn left onto Victoria Ave

Continue for 4.1km, then turn right onto King St.

Turn left onto Cherry St.

Destination will be in the right
