This page will lead you through the sites that we will be visiting on our tour of Hespelers kids attractions.


This tour will begin at a site called Red Wildfong Park located within the town called Hespeler.

The route you will be taking will lead from Red Wildfong Park on Melran all the way across town to Mill Run Trail. Covering about 2.8km in distance from the starting location to the end and the tour will take about 30 mins to complete.

This tour is heavily focused on themes of activity and community as sites presented are important to the connection and growth within the town. All of the location are centers for play and community engagement and this tour seeks to invite the curiosity of everyone of any age. Kids attractions provide the perfect place for play and exploration while also providing discussion and connections. Hopefully throughout this tour you find yourself engaged and interested in the importance that these beautiful places hold within a great town like Hespeler and why they can be important to other towns and cities alike.

Goals of the Tour

The main goals of this tour are to present different ideas and reveal the true importance of kids attractions within a town or city. Much of the public may feel that these location only serve as entertainment for children and serve no other purpose. I want to show that, this notion is wholly incorrect. These sites can be much more than that and it is important that is is shown is an amazing tour format. Along with the desired messages, the tour also is just plain fun and seeks to invite the beauty and importance of these sites within Hespeler to each visitor.

History about the City of Cambridge

All of the sites that we will be visiting are maintained by the City of Cambridge, Created on January 1st 1973, three communities: Galt, Hespeler, Preston and Blair make up what is now known as Cambridge. Today Cambridge is a rich architectural heritage location that contains a strong economy and a rich culture. The city seeks to provide strong development and uphold its core values as it grows and develops. Its values of: Integrity, Respect, Inclusiveness and Service are present in all of the sites and with fund to maintain them the places we will visit still look brand new. The City of Cambridge is a organization that seeks to uphold its values, vision and mission in everything that it does, and that includes its parks and ecological locations.
