Ellacott Lookout Description

Ellacott Lookout is a viewing platform located on the edge of the Speed river which runs through Hespeler. The view from the lookout has become the iconic image for Hespeler and once visited it is clear why. The lookout provides benches and railing for safety and also has an extremely low platform that is right beside the lake.

This location is a recognized bird watching site and many come to take photos and view the many variety of bird that live on the lakes surface. The close up nature of this viewing platform allows for an engaging experience that is asking you too view it as you like. Whether it be through the upper platform or the shore one, the Ellacott Lookout is a view that will stick in your mind like a photograph and is a perfect depiction of Hespeler as a town.
