The Johnson Centre Facility is a building located at 31 Krib Street, it a recreation center which is used by everyone looking for active play, it holds many different activities that people of all ages can partake in. For children it has a large gym play space which can be used for walk in by anyone. It also has a pool which is useable for a cost by any member of the public. There are also sometimes free swims which invite all families in the community to bring their children for a fun time where they can interact with each other without the additional cost. There are also other activities like a workout gym and a smaller kitchen activity room, but they are intended for older audiences. The building also contains a child's play room which sometimes holds camps.

Just down the street from this building is Forbes park, which is the outdoor heart of children's play in Hespeler. This park has two different sized play structures which include monkey bars and swings. The structures are well maintained and there is plenty of green space and benches for viewing from around the structures. There is a splashpad and washrooms near by. Just a few walking steps away from the main park is the "Scout House" which is a hall that can be rented to host parties and during the summer has camps. This park brings everyone together and gives people an open and safe place to have active and healthy play.

It includes a senior center and it has a children's play room with a pool viewing area. This wide range of activities allows the Johnson Centre to be a heart of children's and adult activities alike and is important for everyone of all ages.

Forbes park also provides a number of recreational active and passive activity. Shade with open fields allow for many types of passive outdoor activity and there is a gazebo and benches for people looking to take a break from the play. The park also has two different play structures, one for larger older kids and one smaller one for younger children which is more simple. The park also has a splashpad and has a building can be used for washrooms and indoor play next to the park. This park is the largest in Hespeler and provides the most overall features out of any others in the town.

The Johnson Centre itself is totally accessible. Every bathroom located in the facility is accessible and the case of the changerooms, those are all accessible as well, including a family room. The facility seamlessly adds ramps next to stairs and a pair of the doors are sliding doors to allow for anyone's needs. Another accessibility feature that is within the building the brail that is on every door, so for gendered changerooms they are completely legible for everyone. The facility tried to be as open to everyone as it can be and the staff are always open to suggestions.

In the case of Forbes park, there is not as much included, the pathways are all accessible friendly but the actual play structure and passive activities areas all require stairs. One positive is that a near by building the "Scout House" is completely accessible. The park has troubles making everything accessible but it is clear that the Johnson Centre overall wants to make things that everyone can use.
