Introduction:

Located at 1671 Centre Street, Ridgeville ON, L0S1M0, sits Leash Free Pelham Dog Park. This dog park is fairly large in size, with a wide variety of elevation and terrain, making it perfect for any dog who wishes to run around and burn a lot of energy. This dog park contains two sections one for small dogs and another for large dogs.

A. A large year metal canopy is placed near the entrances of both the small and large off-leash dog parks. This allows for sheltered seating during rough weather and the winter season, or even if you want to escape the rays of the sun during the summer. Conveniently placed under the canopy are a few plastic lawn chairs as well as a large picnic table for seating.

B1 & B2. Benches and tables are located around the park which makes for a comfortable stay for any length of time. The benches and seating areas are well maintained by the municipality.

Greenery is implemented around the park in order to enhance the sense of nature within the gated areas. There are many large trees that give a forest-like feel that any nature lover may enjoy. This makes walking around the park extremely scenic especially in the fall season when the leaves start to change colour.

A. A large parking lot is offered at this park. This allows the opportunity for anyone to visit with ample space and free parking.

B. There are also several types of garbage cans and recycling bins located at the entrances and exits of the dog park.

C. Metal bowls are also located around the small and large dog areas to provide water to the dogs. It is important that you bring water in order to fill the bowls as this park, unfortunately, does not have a water source.

The Leash Free Pelham Dog Park provides several dog waste bag dispensers. This is perfect for anyone that forgets their bags at home. These dispensers are available at a few parks and is a great way to promote a clean play environment for pets and a clean walking environment for humans. I have yet to see these dispensers completely empty of disposal bags, therefore they are refilled frequently - or in a perfect world maybe dog owners have been really good at remembering waste disposal bags.
