Welcome to the Historic Schools of Niagara Falls Tour!

The City of Niagara Falls has an abundance of educational facilities for youth and for adults continuing their education. Today, several elementary schools and high schools are found within the city limits. But many former school buildings from years gone by have been re-purposed as businesses or residential developments.

On this tour, you will drive through Niagara Falls and explore former schools and educational sites that were in operation up to a century ago, and compare the heritage schools in the old photos with the present day use of the buildings. For older residents, this tour can offer a nostalgic glimpse into bygone school days at long-gone educational institutions. For visitors, the tour provides an interesting glimpse into how surplus school buildings can be repurposed, revitalized, and re-integrated into the community in a new role.
