This is a walking tour featuring some of the poetry written about Niagara Falls and the events that have happened here. The tour starts at Dufferin Islands, which has a parking lot, and continues for just over 3 km (1.6 miles) along the Niagara River, past Niagara Falls, to the Rainbow Bridge.

To begin your tour, make your way to the Dufferin Islands Nature Area car park on Dufferin Isle Road in Niagara Falls. Park your vehicle, then follow any of the pathways north to the pedestrian crosswalk over the Niagara Parkway - the first point on the Niagara Falls Poetry Project tour.
