JH x46 Seymour Hall W1H 5TJ

Maurice Gibb presented Jimi with his Disc & Music Echo award at this rather strange, out of the way location on 14 February 1969. The diverse range of artists finishing behind Jimi makes for interesting reading. Seymour Hall was a gig venue for major bands through the sixties and well into the seventies. The Hall stood on Seymour Place between the City of Westminster Public Baths and Macready House (Police accommodation at the time). The baths and Seymour Hall have now been combined into Seymour Leisure Centre and Macready House has now been converted to offices and apartments.
