Fibre Garden

General Information

The Fibre Garden opened its doors on September 15, 2009 in our home in Jordan Village. We are Alan McLean and John Valleau, both spinners and knitters and John is the creator of THE DYEGUY™ hand-dyed yarns and fibres, done here in our home studio. Our dog Miss Rusty is the official customer greeter and there is no need to fear her when you visit.

Our home shop carries a wide range of spinning fibres, including an outstanding selection of breed-specific wool rovings. We try to get our hands on anything and everything that would interests spinners from the beginner to the advanced, from the traditional-yarn maker to the novelty-yarn fanatic. We're proud to have a selection of beautiful hand-spun yarns in our shop for knitters, crocheters and weavers.

Dyes are a passion for us too, including the many interesting types of natural dye products and mordants. In addition to spinning wheels we carry drop spindles, hand cards, niddy-noddies and other gadgets. We're able to order looms, wheel accessories and parts from Ashford, Louet, Majacraft and SpinOlutions.

If your interest lies in needle felting, rug hooking or another fibre art, please just ask us about stocking the products that you need and we will do our best to bring them in especially for you.

The Fibre Garden is proudly Canadian, and we love to feature creations by Canadian artists. If you are a hand spinner, weaver, carder, or dyer looking for an outlet for your products, please contact us and let us know what you have!
