What is Amadeu's?

Amadeu's is a family restaurant that was established all the way in 1989. The restaurant features authentic Portuguese cuisine and homemade Portuguese comfort food. The restaurant was opened by Amadeu, a Portuguese immigrant who was in the restaurant industry back home but really wanted his own place.

After moving to Canada, he worked a number of jobs, supporting his family all while working towards his dream of owning his own restaurant. The restaurant is witness to people that come from all walks of life and has welcomed generations of families who always come back to this place that feels as much like home as it does Portugal.

The restaurant is now run by Amadeu's son, Rui, who continues to witness celebrations and visits from customers who have become like an extended family to them. The restaurant was eventually upgraded, adding a casual neighbourhood bar to welcome even more people of all sorts.
