What is Kid Icarus?

Kid Icarus is a stationery and print shop that specializes in the creation of various goods including greeting cards and posters. The storefront is filled with various items such as mugs, cards, pots and cards. All of these are hand made by Canadian artists. Kid Icarus ships in these handmade goods from all over Canada, from Vancouver to Halifax.

The store features a printing department at the back of the store that is visible to customers. The screen-printing studio was previously known as Studio Number Nineteen and is home to Michael Viglione who has been creating posters and art prints since 1999. They can print custom designs on anything from card stock to large sheets of metal. They have worked with many people, from local artists and indie bands to larger name brands like Red Bull.

In addition to everything you can buy in-store, they also have a website/online store where you can order goods online and learn more about them.

Ecological Attributes

Kid Icarus is very eco-conscious and continues to look forward to trying to be even more eco-friendly. They are concerned about reducing their carbon footprint.

The site is hosted by Web Hosting Canada and is powered by 100% hydroelectricity. They started with using plastics and then tried to switch to biodegradable plastics. When that didn't work, they switched to plant-based products for their packaging.

Kid Icarus also uses pulp paper and 100% recycled boards when it comes to their paper and printed goods. While this is where they are currently, they are constantly trying to improve their ecological footprint.
