Beerlab is a small-batch brewery located in the heart of downtown London, founded in 2019. The brewery is owned by 2 brothers who grew up in the area and wanted to help. Since the batches are small, the menu is constantly changing and evolving. If beer isn't your thing, they also offer hard ciders on tap. The small batch style of brewery makes this a super fun stop, because you never know what will be on the menu. Constant experimentation can be expected, because even if the beer doesn't turn out they expected, it will only be a short amount of time before the kegs are empty, and they get to try a new flavor out.
The two brothers used to work together at Forked River Brewing, where their experimental beers were sold under the name "Beerlab", and sold at Milo's beer emporium, found directly beside the current Beerlab location. The brothers decided to open up their own location and brew the beers on a (slightly) bigger scale. That resulted in the opening of Beerlab! Brewing, the small batch brewery downtown London that is perfect for craft beer enthusiasts, or stopping for a quick drink on your bar hop. The small batch brews are nice, because there are always experimental beers ready for you to come in and taste. Currently on tap, there are a dozen beers on tap, including lagers, ales, sours, lagered ales, seltzers and porters. There is truly something for everybodies personal tastes at beerlab!
If there is a beer you enjoyed during your stay, you can buy a can for the road, and watch as the bartender fills it from the tap, and caps it right in front of you. Its a really unique, personal experience, and gives you a story to tell to your friends when you drink it, or gift it to them!
Fun Fact: The store is so small, that the brothers had to convert one of the offices next door into a washroom in order to meet the requirements for a 25 person capacity business.
