The 305-metre long trail follows a wooden boardwalk alongside the Niagara River. Tourists here to experience the "fury and roar" of the world's roughest white water. Tourists descend 70 metres by elevator and through a wet tunnel to reach the boardwalk. Tourists take a self-guided tour of the entire journey and there are signs next to the trestle that show some facts about the Niagara River, such as depth, wave heights, current speeds, and how turbulence occurs.
It's hard for visitors to get as close to the Niagara River as they do here. There are also viewing platforms at the middle and end of the boardwalk that allow visitors to get a closer look at the river. You can even touch the waves from the platform.
