Welcome to Lester B. Pearson Park's Playground!
This recreation facility consists of two play structures, a picnic pavilion, and splashpad -- an entire day of fun for the whole family!
Recreational Features
Upon entering the playground, visitors will see a sign that describes the community effort the playground was built upon. The Kiwanis Club gives credit to sponsors such as the Trillium Foundation and Niagara Credit Union. What a neat insight into the heritage of the neighbourhood through this playground!
The first playground is a smaller castle-themed structure, built for children ages 2-5. There are two small slides and simple climbing poles, such as a vertical bridge and spiral bar. The second larger playground was built for children ages 5-12. consisting of smaller structures joined together by multiple bridges. There is a clear tunnel, large seesaw, and unique swing set. This playground contains interactive developmental games, such as an activity to learn Braille.
Perhaps the most unique feature is the connecting splash pad, which is directly across from the large family washrooms. The area is surrounded by a picnic pavilion for families to enjoy an outing together! There are also multiple benches across the park for parents to supervise their children.
