About the Shop!

Courage My Love was started in 1975 and features clothing that dates back to the 60s. Whilst on trips around the world, the owners source many of their pieces from their travels. Going to places like Mexico, Indonesia, Egypt, and Afghanistan, they buy many local items and come back with these culturally rich items such as incense, glassware, and beads. The pieces come from all over the world but a good majority are from Mexico. Not only can you find clothes for any occasion, you can also have handmade jewelry made in-store. In the back of the shop is a little hut covered with beads, buttons and all sorts of jewelry from anklets to earrings. There are also various knick-knacks for sale such as kajal, a sort of eyeliner commonly used in Asia. All of these come together to complete your outfit.

This shop also has an Etsy store where you can find more handmade jewelry and reworked vintage clothing.

A Little History!

Courage my Love was started by a pair of teachers with an eye for Persian rugs and all cute trinkets and novelty items. The family-run business has been running Courage my Love since the 70s. The family owns 10 percent of a family-run button company in Indonesia which is showcased within the store available to be bought at fair prices. They also source beads and partner with workshops in Mexico for many of their products, which they also use to create custom and one of a kind clothing.

One fun fact about Courage my Love was that it used to be just Courage, but an old employee used to add "my love" at the end of everything she said and therefore the name was imprinted.
