With war also unfortunately also comes death, and each of these locations are none too familiar with that. While to say ghosts are confidentially real would be a stretch, but nonetheless each of these locations are rumored to be haunted, Thus adding a different level of interest to the tour as well. The tour is arranged that you begin with the location that opens to the public first and finishing with the location that is open the latest. It can be completed in one day, or it can be broken up over time, depending on how you choose to. While the locations have some connections, you do not required to visit them all or in the order given, for the tour to make sense. The history of each location speaks for itself, therefore you can learn a lot by just visiting one, or all of them should you so choose.

Old Fort Erie is the farthest point on the tour, and a fair distance from the other locations. It may seem like a very long distance to travel, but the drive along the Niagara Park Way makes it enjoyable and brings you past a number of notable sites within the area , including Niagara Falls. While it is possible to exclude it and still gain a great amount of knowledge about the War of 1812, it is highly encourage you do include this location!
