General Information

Located in Merritton Ward, Community Park offers many recreational activities such as, Football, Softball, Swimming, Soccer, Tennis and also include a professional baseball diamond stadium equipped with changing stalls and can seat around 2200 fans.

Historical Information

In the 1990's Community park was referred to as Quaint. This was something disturbing because the main attraction for the park was that huge baseball stadium. According to North American standards the baseball stadium was much in need of improvements and the saying was that the lighting at community park was one of the worst in all of North America.

This lead to the Stompers, a minor league baseball team unhappy and eventually they were bought out.

The New owners of the Stompers in the future looked to invest and develop Community park in the late 1990's and after spending nearly $130,000 The Old ball Park was back in action anticipating large crowds. During their opening season public bathrooms were installed.
