The King Street Gallery hosts a variety of different types of mediums in their art, so there is sure to be something for everyone to enjoy. There is wood carvings, turned wood creations, sculptures, jewelry, pottery, glassworks, and more.
From May to November there are guided tours of the gallery - Sundays 10-11 am and Fridays 5-6 pm.
Also, this space often hosts events such as monthly featured artists exhibits, an annual tiny treasures show, art and wine events, and more. Artists will also sometimes paint in the gallery and be available for questions.
The gallery is very spacious and allows viewers to wander throughout the three rooms to admire the works of art by various artists.
Close up picture of a plaque commemorating the 200th anniversary of the building being built
This building was built in 1791 and was the seat of the first legislative assembly in Upper Canada.
Then it was used as army barracks in the War of 1812 and now it is home to an art gallery for original works by Canadian artists.
Being the second oldest building in Niagara has given this building a rich history and culture of creativity and inspiring minds.
