Flying Saucer Diner

Introduction

What is that? Is it a plane? Is it a bird? Is it a UFO? Or is it? Oh wait, it is a UFO! No need to be alarmed because this flying saucer is here to stay and serve you a burger that is out of this world! The moment you arrive at the diner you will be shocked and immediately curious to see what the inside will look like. Anyone is welcome to come inside and leave. But rumor has it that once people taste the burger, they are bound to return...

Very unique sign for a unique diner. The saucer on top rotates and skews.

The ceiling looks like a space ship panel.

The seats have lights on them, so it looks like high tech sections.

Few windows have spaceship wallpaper to make it look like an alien invasion.

What is great about this place?

Flying saucer is a place that the name already implies; it is a Spaceship themed diner. Everything from the exterior to the interior is all about aliens and space. Even the menu is like a newspaper reporting a discovered UFO. All exclusive to the Niagara falls region.

Themes aside, the service is very nice and friendly and the atmosphere is very relaxing and rejuvenating. The food has a very homey feeling like it was cooked with love and care.

There are a lot of other foods but a particular burger on the menu specifically rose above others. Their signature dish "saucer burger" was one of the best burgers I have ever tasted in my life. It comes with fries on the side. If you are craving hamburgers, I 100% recommend this choice.

History about the place

Flying saucer was founded in 1972 by a person named Henry DiCienzo (founder). He was always fascinated with the idea of space and science. After working at a diner as a kid, he decided to establish the Flying saucer. It was originally a drive-in only, but was expanded for dine-in in the early 1980s.

Owner

It is a family owned diner, now Lillian DiCienzo owns the diner
