In 1972, Cecil Amadio owned the Niagara Glen-View Tent & Trailer Park, across Victoria Avenue from Niagara Helicopters. The property was full of expansive land, ideal for pitching tents, having campfires, and listening to the sounds of the Niagara Gorge below. When the trailer park land was purchased by Great Lake Companies, there was great excitement about a new, wilderness-themed family resort and waterpark.
Niagara Falls' Great Wolf Lodge, the first in Canada, sits on a beautiful site near the Whirlpool Rapids. The location offers various themed-accommodations, restaurants, and a large waterpark complete with body and tube slides, and a wave pool.
