Stamford Memorial Hall was a project undertaken by the Stamford Women's Institute beginning in 1919. The Institute raised money through fund-raising events, public donations, several grants and a bank loan. Opening in 1920, the hall was dedicated to the men and women of Stamford who had served in the First World War.

In 1972, the hall was sold to the Stamford Lions Club, who built an addition onto the hall to meet their expanding needs. During its heyday, the club had upwards of 50 members, but in later years, membership declined. In early 2021, as a result of financial challenges, the club sold the property to Hawk Development Corporation, a real estate development firm based in Niagara Falls,.

Now: Parkside 39 Urban Townhomes

In 2021, a collection of 39 urban townhomes called 'parkside 39' was announced for the site, with a 2023 opening. Connected directly to Stamford Lion's Park, Parkside39 offers residents a convenient living experience with easy access to groceries, local shops, restaurants and other amenities.
