JH x27 I was Lord Kitcheners Valet 15 Fouberts Place W1F 7PH

Following its success in Portobello Road (entry 90), I Was Lord Kitchener's Valet opened branches in the King's Road and here, in what is usually referred to as Carnaby Court. Post Office records and maps from the sixties do not have any reference to a Carnaby Court, nor do current reference sources. Above is I Was Lord Kitchener's Valet in 1967 and below is the same location today occupied by Jones the Bootmaker's.

Just to complete the Kitchener story, they also opened two gift shops selling tacky memorabilia of London to tourists. One was across the road at 8 Foubert's Place (now Dahlia) and the second on Piccadilly Circus at 223 Piccadilly.
