JH x25 London Pavilion 1 Piccadilly Circus W1J 0TR

It used to be that you could see a wax figure of Jimi standing on the balcony of Rock Circus in the Trocadero, looking out over Piccadilly Circus, white Strat in hand, arm in the air. Long gone now I'm afraid, as is Tussaud's music version of their wax museum. (Photo (c) Gert Overbye, 1991)

This building was formerly the London Pavilion, shown here in 1965 at the premiere of the James Bond film Thunderball.

The London Pavilion is where Jimi Hendrix attended the premiere of the Michael Crawford / John Lennon film How I Won The War (above) on 18 October 1967.
