History of the Course

Lookout Point Country Club was designed by Walter J. Travis in 1919 and was completed in 1922. Since then it has been known to be one of Travis's finest accomplishments. It has helped shape champion golfers throughout the years with its challenging holes. Marlene Stewart-Streit was one of the incredible members here as she went on to win numerous golf events including the Canadian and U.S. Women's Ameteur Championships. She was even inducted into the World Golf Hall of Fame, initially as the only Canadian to be so highly recognizable.

Lookout Point's General Brock Open took place in the 1930s, and continues to host various PGA Championships with many famous golfers having played the course. It continues to hold a top ranking in Score Magazine's Top 100 Courses in Canada.
