Whirlpool Golf Course makes for a great round of golf with your friends, family or even co-workers. This 18 hole course is located on the Niagara Parkway, 6.5km north of the Falls, and is Canada's most highly ranked and renowned public golf course.Come for a round of golf and stay a while longer for a meal at our clubhouse restaurant after you play as well!

This course offers a range of different difficulties with the various holes, Whirlpool Golf Course continues to serve excellence to its golfers. It has been highly ranked as one of the best public golf courses in Canada. This beautiful course is located just outside of downtown Niagara Falls, making it very accessible by those staying at one of the nearby hotels.

With the various difficulties in regards to the holes, it challenges both experienced golfers and beginners. Although this course was built in 1951, there were many renovations made to it between 1996 - 1998. These renovations included a new putting green and practice area as well as sand traps and forward tees. The course is continuously maintained, ensuring that your golf game will be as perfect as you can play!

What to expect on the course



Historical Significance

As it was originally opened in July, 1951, after being designed by Stanley Thompson, Whirlpool Golf Course is on of Canada's highly ranked golf course. The course opened to a tournament between players from Canada against players from the USA, as thousands watched as Dr. Cary Middlecoff and Jimmy Demaret from the USA defeated Stan Leonard and Bob Gray from Canada. In its first year being open 18,251 people played at the course, leading up to the millionth person playing by mid-1980.

Whirlpool Golf Course has hosted various tournaments over the years, including Niagara Parks Amateur, the Niagara Classic as well as the Canadian Tours' Tour Championship.

How to get here

From Toronto

Take the QEW toward Niagara Falls. Take Highway 405 exit towards Lewiston-Queenston Bridge to the United States. Take exit for Stanley Ave, turn right onto Stanley Ave. Turn left onto Whirlpool Road following until you get to Niagara River Parkway, turning left onto Niagara Parkway. Whirlpool Golf Course will be on the left hand side.

From Niagara Falls (Falls itself)

Head North on Niagara Parkway for 6.5 km. Golf Course will be on the left hand side.

From Buffalo

Follow the QEW Toronto toward Niagara Falls, taking exit for Highway 420 towards the bridge to the USA. Turn Left onto Stanley Avenue, until turning right onto Bridge Street. Turn left onto Victoria Avenue until you reach Niagara Parkway, where you will turn left. Whirlpool Golf Course will be on the left hand side.
