Mel Swart Lake Gibson Conservation Park is a spacious public park located along Lake Gibson, to the south of city Thorold.
Its neighborhood is a quiet residential area away from the hustle and bustle of cities, and therefore, visitors can enjoy a tranquil and relaxing time at the park.
While visiting the area, a few visitors may be seen including a neighbor walking his or her dog.
One of main visions of the park is to be environmentally sensitive by protecting wild life and vegetation inhabiting in the park.
The park is overall well maintained and clean. It is a good place to relax.
It has a large area of lawn and a few hills.

On the boardwalk, there is a little lookout point.
A sign can be found near an entrance which describes the ownership of the park, its visions and a biography of the figure whom the park is named after.
"It was through the efforts of local residents and the City of Thorold that the park was officially opened in 2002." (City of Thorold)
