Then: Alanson Ross House

The Carriage building was Drummondville's best industry for some years. The factory stood at the rear of the house. The driveway was past the Nnorth end of the house. A showroom building stood at the street close to the driveway. At one time the business was under the name Pew & Ross. 1946.

In 1820, carriage-maker Alanson Ross arrived in Niagara Falls from Pennsylvania. He joined John Misener in the carriage making business, working from Misener's shop at the corner of Main and Peer Streets. Mr Ross built his residence and establised the Ross Carriage Factory behind the house in 1826.

Now: Patterson Funeral Home

In 1977, the building hosted the Dermody & Hockton Funeral Home, and in 2004 became the location of Patterson Funeral Home, which it remains to this day.
