The Olde Angel Inn is one of the oldest pubs in Ontario built in 1789. The inn has been residence to many historical figures including the father of Queen Victoria Prince Edward. This inn is a residence to the permanent guest, Captain Colin Swayze who was killed inside the cellar hiding in a wine barrel after his love whom he was waiting for didn't show. The Americans saw him run into the inn while attacking the town and followed him downstairs stabbing barrels until they had killed him. Although he is a peaceful tenant he gets furious when the British flags hanging outside are removed for cleaning, creating havoc within the inn. The Olde Angel Inn provides a nice introduction into the historic town of Niagara on the Lake. The warmth of this cozy inn will make you feel welcome, and instantly pique your interest to discover more than just what is found on this tour. The beauty of the the aged inn, combined with its chilling ghost story creates the perfect stop on the Haunted Niagara tour.

The Olde Angel Inn was established in 1789 and rebuilt in 1815 after being burned down in the War of 1812.
