While water is beautiful in general it certainly helps add to the beauty at Pen Lakes! For golfers at Pen Lakes the water hazards can however come into play if golf shoots are not placed carefully. The course has 4 major lakes that gave the course its name "Peninsula Lakes" (Lakes, P. (n.d.)).
The names of the 3 nine hole golf courses are Quarry, Hillside, and Orchard. Quarry is 3240 yards and a par 35; the four large lakes located on Quarry come into play on holes 1, 2, 5 and 6 (Lakes, P. (n.d.)). Hillside is 3318 yards and a par 36 (Lakes, P. (n.d.)). Hillside offers some interesting attributes such as an island green on hole number eight. The fourth holes also has a reputation for being the hardest hole in Niagara (Lakes, P. (n.d.)). Much like the Quarry course the water located on the course comes into play. Lastly there is Orchard which is 3279 and a par 35; Orchard has a claim to fame for having the most scenic course in all of Niagara (Lakes, P. (n.d.)).
