Gunning's Tire Service was owned and operated by William Gunning, who was a very civic-minded citizen of Niagara Falls. He later went on to expand upon his auto-repair enterprise, eventually owning a number of gas stations in the city.
Today, the Sandstone Grill occupies part of this original site.
