Ethical Significance is not a major problem with this destination. Some people may not be comfortable knowing that some of the individuals on the beach choose to live their life in a different way. However, this is a safe place for them where their morals or lifestyle choices are not judged.
For a nice day away from the bustling Pattaya City, this is the perfect location. It is also Pattaya's only gay beach. Jomtien beach is about a 265 meter strip of the Pattaya Beach and is appropriate for all ages. This beach has been a favourite to others in the area due to the cleanliness and lack of garbage that can be found on other beaches. The beach in total is 6 kilometers long, and has a wide range of land and water based recreational activities that are available for a small price. Water activities include jet-skiing, scuba diving, renting ski-doos, para-sailing, swimming and more. Land activities can include sun-tanning, beach volleyball, massages, or just relaxing in a beach chair. There are loads of vendors that sell drinks and food and will bring it right to your chair so you can relax to the fullest. If you are not a huge fan of the sun or just need some time in the shade there are umbrellas that are found everywhere and can be rented for the day. Soaking up some vitamin D enjoying the outdoors and the sun is a perfect day to enjoy some quality time relaxing. However, if you are looking for a truly quiet and secluded area away from tourists and lots of action, this will not be the place you hoped. Though it is quiet by comparison to the main beach in Pattaya, it is still a busy place. This beach is also relatively close to the main streets and walking distance from most hotels. On nice sunny days the beach is a perfect get-a-way from the busy city.
Good - The beach was very clean and looks like a nice place to enjoy catching some sun rays while enjoying a refreshment or participating in many of the activities that are present on the beach. Also very close to the city so it is nice that the beach is in walking distance of most hotels and streets. There are also a great deal of vendors that are willing to cater to tourists and one does not have to go more than 20 feet to get food or drinks.
Bad - The water does not look clean enough to swim in and the beach overall is directed to cater to tourists increasing the amount of tourists that do visit the beach. If you are looking for a quite secluded beach this would not the place.
Overall, I would return to Jomtien Beach.
Green Light
Good for all ages and no one will question your morals or cast judgement on your lifestyle.
