Non-interventionist, quality focused and terroir driven Hidden Bench wines are produced from three distinct vineyards totaling almost 100 acres within the Beamsville Bench VQA sub-appellation. As an estate winery, all of their wines are produced with only viniferagrapes grown in their own vineyards.

Founded in 2003 by Harald Thiel and family, Hidden Bench focuses on Pinot Noir, Chardonnay and Riesling varieties. In addition they also produce limited quantities of a white meritage (Nuit Blanche) and two distinct red blends (Terroir Cache, and the super premium La Brunante). Production was about 8,000 cases in 2010. Due to strong demand and a small supply, most wines are already on limited allocations.
