General Information
Angels Gate winery was founded by a group of wine loving friends on a property that was once owned by a congregation. In 1995, the land was converted into a vineyard. Their first vintage was in 2000 and yielded a very small production of only 3 wines. In six short years production has increased to 14,000 cases featuring 18 different wines.
The winery took a new step in 2007 by enlisting the skills of wine maker Philip Dowell. Well known and respected within the industry, Philip has already brought a new dimension and level of quality to the wines of Angels Gate Winery. They use traditional winemaking techniques and combine them with new technologies to create wines with a delicate balance, finesse and structure.
