Historical

Kurtz Culinary Creations in Niagara-on-the-Lake is the newest venture of the Kurtz family. The boutique store was opened in 2008, as an extension to Kurtz Orchards Farm & Marketplace. For generations, the Kurtz family has been growing and producing local fruits and jams in the Niagara Region. The founding father of Kurtz Orchards Farm & Marketplace was Frank Kurtz, who bought and started the farm in the 1940s. Today, the farm is run by the second and third generations of the Kurtz Family and encompasses 50 acres of orchards and vineyards. Second generation, Edward Kurtz, diversified the family business through his focus on producing specialty foods and gourmet accoutrements (i.e. sauces, oils, dips, spreads, etc.).

Since their establishment, Kurtz Orchards Farm & Marketplace, and now Kurtz Culinary Creations, have been committed to producing innovative products that reflect the true natural flavours of the land. The Kurtz family uses over 50 authentic country flavours to comprise the base of their products.
