Regrettably, Pan Cafe closed in 2011. But partners Bruce Worden and Kyle Paton continue to offer innovative vegan and vegetarian fare at their new establishment, Rise Above, at the same location (120 St. Paul Street, St. Catharines).

General Information

Located in the heart of downtown St. Catharines, Pan Cafe specializes in all natural, locally produced and organic breakfast, lunch and brunch. The menu includes classic choices and offers a selection for everyone: vegetarians, vegans, meat-eaters, and those will dietary concerns, such as glucose-free and lactose-free options.

Pan supports ethical practices in food production. Produce is local and/or organic, meat and dairy are drug and hormone free, as well as grain fed. Eggs are free range, coffee is shade grown and bird friendly and all take-out containers are biodegradable.

Catering services are available for breakfast and lunch. You can also book Pan for a private party at night. Contact Pan Cafe for more details. Menus are available online from the Pan Cafe website, including prices for each option.

From Toronto:

-Take Gardiner Expressway to QEW

-Travel on the QEW for approximately 96.5 km

-Take exit 49 for ON-406 toward Thorold/Welland/Port Colborne

-Travel onto King's Highway 406 for approximately 5 km

-Take the Westchester Avenue exit

-Travel onto Westchester Crescent

-Turn right (north/east) at St. Paul Street

-Pan Cafe is located on the right hand side of St. Paul Street

From Fort Erie:

-Travel onto the QEW via the ramp to Toronto

-Travel on the QEW for approximately 41.8 kilometres

-Take exit 44 for County Road 48/Niagara Street toward Service Road

-Travel onto Dieppe Road

-Turn left (west) on Welland Avenue

-Slight left (south/west) at Niagara Street

-Slight right (west) at Church street

-Slight left (south/west) at King Street

-Turn left (south) at Queen Street

-Turn left (north) at St. Paul Street

-Pan Cafe is located on the right hand side of St. Paul Street

Cultural

Coffee is supplied from Birds & Beans. Birds & Beans is Canada's choice for sustainable coffee, offering a wide selection of certified organic, shade grown, fairly traded and Bird Friedly® coffees. Bread is supplied from De La Terre Bakery, located in Vineland/Lincoln. The bread is artisinal and organic. The remaining food products are made from scratch in the kitchen of Pan Cafe.

Pan Cafe holds special events, such as CD release parties for local singers/songwriters/bands and art openings for new local artists throughout the year.
