General Information

Vineland Estates Winery sits on the Escaprment Bench. It's a very attractive winery on a large property. Well-restored buildings dating as far back as 1845 include its restaurant, Coach House and wine boutique. "Our century barn, originally constructed in 1877, has been converted into what the Wine Atlas of Canada hails as the best wine store in Niagara."

The first plantings were Riesling grapes in 1979 and they have gained a reputation for producing quality Reisling wines. Vineland Estates has also gained a strong reputation for producing Canada's most expensive table wine. The 1998 Meritage, a Bordeaux blend, won second in one of France's most prestigious wine show.

"Our underground barrel cellar showcases our history, but also allows us to enhance the winemaking process with an eye to the future. The cellar is home to our wine library, a living record of our twenty five year history. This library houses vintages that date back to our first, in 1983. Completed in the summer of 2006, the underground barrel cellar allows for more control and for a larger volume of our wines to undergo the oak aging process."

Visitors are welcome to Vineland Estates, one of Niagara's most popular wineries and home to one of the most highly regarded restaurants in Canada. The Restaurant @ Vineland Estates Winery has a beautiful view and warm ambiance. The Coach House which used to house the piglets downstairs in the original barn, when this was a farm, is available for elegant private functions.
