Lakeview Cellars Estate Winery

General Information

Lakeview Cellars was founded in 1991, by Eddy Gurinskas and his wife Lorraine. The production for that year was 2,300 cases. Eddy established a name for Lakeview early in the Niagara wine industry, by crafting big, bold reds and aromatic whites. In 2003, Eddy retiremed and passed the winemaking duties on to his apprentice at the time, Thomas Green. Tom has followed in Eddy's footsteps, continuing to craft great wines on which Lakeview bases its reputation.

In 2001 Lakeview Cellars was purchased by Diamond Estates Wines & Spirits Ltd. November 2005 Diamond Estates announced a $1 million investment from Canadian acting legend, Dan Aykroyd. This is a sound investment in a growing and exciting company with smart people. Its also an investment in my home province and an opportunity to put more Canadian wines on shelves alongside Australian and Chilean vintages, said Mr. Aykroyd. Dan Aykroyd wines produced by head winemaker Tom Green and his colleagues Jason Roller and Scott McGregor are now available through Lakeview Cellars.

The Seasonal Vineyard Patio is available for your next celebration of up to 25 people. They offer full service barbeque menus priced from $35 per person.
