Historical

The Royal George Theatre used to be an old opera house in which it was fully repaired and brought back to use for the entertainment of the public. The Royal George Theatre tries to display the style of the old Edwardian opera house and studio theatre featuring; an imitated traditional wooden front, Edward gilt moldings, red walls and golden lions placed out front. This theatre was constructed as a vaudeville house in which to keep the men of the World War I amused and cheerful in a time of despair.
