Hansler House

General Information

The Hansler House is an old Victorian house located near the Fonthill United Church. It was built by John Wilson in the 1870s, and was thought notable enough for a picture to be included in the Page Atlas- an atlas of Welland and Lincoln Counties compiled about that time. A doctor named Hansler (the family was one of Pelham's pioneers) married Wilson's widow and practised medicine from the house.

This historic building is now divided into apartments.
