Welcome to the Laura Secord Legacy Trail!

Welcome to the Laura Secord Legacy Trail! This trail is dedicated to the memory of Laura Secord, her life and times, and the courage and determination she showed in walking more than 30 kilometres to deliver a warning to the British forces during the war of 1812. In so doing, Laura Secord walked into history. Thank you for following in her footsteps.

The trail runs 32 km from the Laura Secord Homestead in Queenston, Ontario, to Decew House Heritage Park in Thorold, and is divided into five stages. Stage 1 begins in front of the Laura Secord Homestead.

To begin your journey, enter the car park behind the Laura Secord Homestead. Your device will prompt you to make your way to the stone marker beside the gate in front of the Laura Secord Homestead on Queenston Street.
