About This Tour

Welcome to Bravery Along the Niagara River, an exploration of the incredible interactions between people and the Niagara River throughout the last 200 years. As this tour unfolds, you will discover the ridiculous and extravagant ordeals that have taken place surrounding the wonder of nature that is Niagara Falls.

Today, the city of Niagara Falls is very different than what it used to be. However, the roaring falls that have attracted people to the region have not significantly changed since Europeans visited Niagara for the first time in the 1600's.

The Golden Age of prosperity for Niagara Falls in the 1860's was defined by acts of bravery and performances along the Niagara River that captured both local and international attention. This audio tour will take you on an adventure through the past, detailing both the heroic and tragic events that took place between the 1850's and 1920's along the Niagara River.
