Up ahead is the First Nations Metis and Inuit Garden.
These gardens were planted near the Niagara College campus wetlands to provide alearning experience for visitors, employees and students.
Funding for the garden was provided by the Ontario Ministry of Training, Colleges and Universities.
The design of the garden focuses on Aboriginal Knowledge and is home to native plants and special features that are important for ceremonial food, and traditional medicines. It provides a natural learning environment for ecology, food science and agriculture.
