Burapha University - Institute of Marine Science Center

Click Play to Listen

Burapha University's Institute of Marine Science is different from the other faculty buildings on campus. This particular building is home to an educational, yet mesmerizing, aquarium and museum, open daily to students, staff and the general public. Located just west of the main entrance, this particular building also has its own entrance off Long-Had Bangsaen Road for westbound traffic.

The Institute building is home to two main services: the Marine Aquarium and the Marine Science Museum. The aquarium is an indoor 'tour style' building filled with exhibits of various different marine animal and plant species contained within large and small tanks. The Museum section is designed to educate visitors through visual identification of both marine flora and fauna that are no longer living. Together these two amenities allow for staff, students, and the public to be educated on the importance of marine life, in a fun and interactive environment.
