General Information

The Stone Shop was built in 1800 by Allan Nixon as a blacksmith shop where both British and American forces had their horses shod and equipment repaired.

The building was used as Grimsbys first museum from 1963 to 1983. It is now privately owned and houses Rick Manner's Old Stone Shop art studio. One Canada's finest wildlife artists, Rick

Please call ahead to make an appointment to visit Rick Manner's Old Stone Shop art studio. If you are passing and see a van in the little parking lot, Rick may be there and welcomes visitors.
