GENERAL INFORMATION

Taps on Queen Brewhouse and Grill is one of Niagara's most renowned microbrewery destinations in reputation to the upstanding quality in each batch of beer they brew. Taps proudly creates some of the finest beers brewed in house with natural ingredients including pure filtered water, select hops, malted barley and yeast. Located in Niagara Falls on Queen Street in the historical district, Taps on Queen Brewhouse and Grill is the perfect place to experience the lesser travelled hot spots of downtown Niagara.

Taps Brewing Company is family owned in collaboration by two families whose business opportunity began from experience with home brewing as well as from others sectors of the tourism and hospitality industry. Originally founded in Virgil, Niagara-on-the-Lake in 2004, Taps Brewing Company began as just a small brewery producing a few craft beers and distributing in a retail store. In June 2009, Taps expanded their production and relocated to 460 Queen Street, Niagara Falls, where they also opened a 140 seat restaurant. In 2010, the family owned venture purchased The Niagara's Best Beer Brand, once in operation in the Niagara Region, and used the opportunity to open up a sister establishment, Syndicate Restaurant and Brewery.

Taps on Queen Brewhouse and Grill features a relaxed and casual ambiance during dining hours and at night often hosts a packed bar. Taps was built from the remains of an old warehouse, which can be reflected with a modern touch on the exterior. Inside, an open concept layout allows patrons while eating dinner or sipping on some of Taps own beer at the bar, to view large television screens for sporting events and a small stage for musical entertainment.

At Taps Brewhouse and Grill, not only can you sample unique craft brewery beer, but you are also welcome to join a complementary tour of the brewery and experience the brewing process first hand. Small and large group tours are also available to those who call ahead and book. There is an optional minimal charge if you would like to have a beer tasting with your tour that includes 4 of their very own crafts. The draught selection includes ales, a lager and wheat beer as well as a reduced 3.6% alcohol ale. There is certainly a taste that would fit any style of beer consumer, including their Red Cream Ale, the light bodied Charleston Lager, North American style Chuck Noris Roundhouse Indian Pale Ale and Taps Mild Ale. If you are lucky, you may be able to catch one of their seasonal or specialty brews that are on tap from time to time.

A friendly staff is always happy to take your order for lunch and dinner or just for some casual drinks and snacks. On the menu is an array of traditional pub grub all which is all served at very affordable prices. Featuring loaded nachos, fried pickle spears, wings, a dry aged sirloin steak and cheese sandwich, pulled pork, burgers, pizzas, fish and chips and more, there is something on the menu for everyone. However as in many restaurants, it is important to note that the menu may be subject to change. Everything within the restaurant is made fresh with ingredients that all come from within Canada.

Taps is often full of vibrant life, with live bands, DJs, open mic nights, and menu specials such as wing night. Taps Brewhouse and Grill is a great place to experience pub night life for those who are of drinking age, or simply just a place for a hearty meal or causal pint with some friends. Due to their success, some of Taps Brewing Company beers are on sale for retail in the LCBO and also at other licensed premises throughout Southern Ontario.
