General Information
Ridgepoint Wines is a small estate winery on the Niagara Escarpment, dedicated to the production of premium and ultra-premium wines. Ridgepoint Wines is also responsible for the first commercial bottling of Nebbiolo, an Italian wine, in Ontario.
The Ridgepoint Wines vineyards were planted in 1995, and has 18 acres planted to premium winemaking grapes. The winery began its introduction to the wine-drinking public with a range of consumer-friendly whites and "quaffing reds" in the fall of 2003.
Recently Ridgepoint Wines has opened Scarsellones a restaurant attached to the winery. The Italian restaurant uses Niagara produce whenever possible, and any ingredients not found in Niagara come directly from Italy.
