Historical

The Sean O'Sullivan Theatre was at first named the Thistle Theatre when it was first created and was simply an addition of the Drama and Films Department. The Thistle Theatre then got put underneath the upper major tittle of Brock Centre for the Arts and Thistle Theatre was then changed simply to the name the Theatre. Then in 1992, the Theatre was then again changed to what it is named today; the Sean O'Sullivan Theatre. The Theatre was renamed the Sean O'Sullivan Theatre as a tribute to the late Father Sean O'Sullivan. The final naming of this theatre is significant as Sean O'Sullivan was the earliest graduate from Brock to get an honorary degree, he then became Canada's youngest Member of Parliament and then left politics to become a priest.
