The Lazy Loon Restaurant and Ice Cream Bar is nestled in the west end of the Log Cabin Trading Post in Fonthill. The first step from your car into the country air begins yourcottagization. This cozy local retreat is the pride and joy of Karey Warden. Karey is well known in the restaurant business, having been in it for the past 23 years. He realized a lifetime dream on April 28, 1998 with the opening of his very own restaurant, the Lazy Loon. Karey's wife and co-owner of the restaurant, Mary-Kathleen (M-K), is frequently found helping out, when not busy teaching high school science.

Well known for its fish and chips, you will also find succulent steaks, perfect pastas, superb sandwiches and out-of-this-world chicken. If you are longing for an ice cream dessert, you have come the right place.

The gastronomical experience is only part of the visit. Kary says, "I'm very proud of my staff and the positive comments about them that come from our guests. At the Loon, we pride ourselves on providing genuine caring service. And most of the decorations you see are from family, friends and guests. I think that gives us this homey feeling."
